Okwun Ojah Education Scholarship Award Concludes with a Bang

On July 25th, 2024, the Udumeze Hall in Elu Ohafia played host to the highly anticipated Okwun Ojah Education Scholarship Award ceremony, dedicated to supporting medicine and surgery students of Ohafia extraction. The event was graced by an array of dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor of Abia State, represented by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Chukwudi Mba, the Ohafia Council of Monarchs, and the Ohafia Council of Traditional Rulers.

 

In a speech delivered by the Program Manager on behalf of the President and founder of the Okwun Ojah Family Foundation, Dr. Ojah, the foundation’s commitment to making a positive impact on the community was reaffirmed. “Investing in the education of our future healthcare leaders is a critical step towards achieving our goal,” the speech emphasized.

 

Eze Ukoha Kalu, in his remarks, praised Dr. Ojah for his selfless contributions to the community, praying for God’s blessings upon him. The beneficiaries of the scholarship award, including Ukonye David, expressed their gratitude, stating that the financial support would serve as a motivation to work even harder in their academic pursuits.

The event featured a series of highlights, including the presentation of scholarship awards, inspiring speeches, and captivating music performances by Okwu-Jah and Ogene Star Boys.

The beneficiaries are Miss. Akwu Amarachi, Mister Isaac Oke Ukpai, Onyinyechi Joymary Ukonye, Igwe Faith Udo, Ogonnaya Awa Eke, Nmon Victor Udo, Uma Victor Emele, Eke-Awa Mayjoy Adanna, Emmanuel Uche Ndukwe, and Ukonye David Orji.

The ceremony was a testament to the Okwun Ojah Family Foundation’s dedication to empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals from Ohafia.
